- Candidates should have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.

Candidates of all categories: 167 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 57 Weight (in kg.), 78 cms Chest (without expansion), 83 cms Chest (with expansion – 5 cms.)
Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 160 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 53 Weight (in kg.), 76 cms Chest (without expansion), 81 cms Chest (with expansion – 5 cms.)
Constable (Female):
Candidates of all categories: 160 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 49 Weight (in kg.)
Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 152 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 45 Weight (in kg.)
Third Gender :
Candidates of all categories: 163 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 52 Weight (in kg.)
Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 155 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 48 Weight (in kg.)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Male Candidates : 1600 (sixteen hundred) meters Run With in 6 (six) minutes 30 (thirty) seconds
