Ábout BRLPS Recruitment 2023 – 161 Consultant Posts Apply Online IndGovtjobs

The Government of Bihar (GoB), through the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS), an autonomous body of the Ministry of Rural Development, manages the locally known Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project (BRLP), supported by the World Bank under the name JEEViKA , aiming & economic empowerment of the rural poor. Subsequently, part of the Bihar Kosi Flood Rehabilitation Project (BKFRP) to restore and strengthen livelihoods was also integrated into JEEViKA.

The Government of India (GoI) Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) converted the Central Program of Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) into a National Rural Maintenance Mission (NRLM). The cornerstone of the SGSY strategy, implemented since 1999, was that the poor need to be organized and systematically develop their skills so that they have access to self-employment opportunities.

SGSY has been most successful where the mobilization of the poor in self-help groups and their capacity building and skills development have been carried out systematically.In this regard, the Indonesian government has launched the NRLM to be deployed in mission mode across the country. It builds on the strengths of SGSY and incorporates important lessons learned from extensive experience in the country.

As a first step in implementing NRLMs in the state, the government has designated the BRLPS as the State Rural Revenue Mission (SRLM) to implement NRLMs in the state. This was due to the successful experience of the BRLPS in implementing a similar approach in the country in recent years within the JEEViKA project. Another milestone was the preparation of the National Forecast and Implementation Plan (SPIP), a long-term strategic plan that will guide implementation of the NRLM in the country.

A participatory methodology was adopted in the preparation of the SPIP, which has been the subject of several intensive consultations. In addition to district, state and national participatory processes involving teams of consultants and experts, SPIP has been made available to various government departments, DRDA, civic associations and NGOs, bankers and educational and educational institutions.

Comments from various stakeholders were requested from research organizations and included in the document. The consultations, chaired by the Secretary-General of Bihar, asked for advice from senior government officials. SPIP has been reviewed and approved by an authorized committee. Then it was approved by the Council of Ministers.
