Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (abbreviated as MESCOM) is an Indian electricity supplier in Karnataka districts namely Dakshina Kannada, Udupi district, Chickmagalur and Shimoga. It is headquartered in Mangaluru. The company was founded in June 2002. The Karnataka Electricity Board (KEB), earlier involved in the transmission and distribution of electricity in the state of Karnataka, was incorporated as the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).

Later, the distribution wing of this company was carved out and five companies were set up to look after the distribution of electricity to different parts of Karnataka state. Initially four units were formed namely MESCOM, BESCOM, HESCOM and GESCOM. Later, CESCOM was separated from MESCOM in 2005 to serve the electricity consumers of Mysore region. Currently, KPTCL only handles distribution through Electricity Transmission and Distribution Companies (ESCOM).

These Electricity Distribution Companies (ESCOMs) distribute electricity to the last kilometer or end consumers in the state of Karnataka. These ESCOMs are responsible for the distribution of electricity generated by Karnataka Power Corporation Limited and other generators. MESCOM tried the idea of ​​using drones to monitor power transmission lines across the Kumaradhara River and it was successful.

It has 22,61,785 consumers, 755.66 km of 33 kilovolt (KV) power lines and 3 ,507.71 km of 11 kilovolt (KV) lines as of November 2017.[2] Customers can pay MESCOM electricity bills online. As Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited supplies electricity to the rain-fed region of India, it suffers extensive damage to its infrastructure and properties during the southwest monsoon season in June, July, August and September each year.[ ] Shri Kishor Kumar B started Mangalore as the Director of the new mescom in December 2020.
