RPSC Recruitment 2023 – 1913 Asst Professor Posts Apply Online IndGovtjobs

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission has a glorious past of almost 70 years. In 1923, the Lee Commission recommended the establishment of a central commission for the civil service in India, but did not pay much attention to the need for similar commissions in the provinces.

The recruitment and control of their services was largely left to the discretion of provincial governments, as they saw fit. At the time of the founding of Rajasthan, there was the establishment of a Civil Service Commission in only three of the 22 states of the Alliance, viz. Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner.

After the incorporation of the princely states as published in the Rajasthan Gazette on August 20, 1949, the Rajasthan Civil Service Commission Ordinance 1949 came into effect. The appointment was to be published in the Official Gazette and on December 22, 1949 this notice was published.

Thus, on December 22, 1949, the Public Service Commission of Rajasthan, d CSP character in the member states. The regulations also determine the composition of the commission, the staff and the tasks of the commission. Originally, the commission had a president and two members.

The then Chief Justice of Rajasthan, Sir SK Ghosh, was appointed Chairman of the Rajasthan Civil Service Commission. So Shri Devi Shankar Tiwari and Shri N.R. Chandorkar were made members and Shri S.C. Tripathi (i.eS), a former member of the Union Civil Service Commission, was appointed chairman. In order to regulate the work of the commission, Rajpramukh issued the following ordinances in 1951 in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of India.
