Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) is one of theIndian manufacturers of ammunition and missile systems. It was founded in Hyderabad,India in 1970.[4]Establishedasamissilesystemsmanufacturingsite, BDL started with a group of engineers from Indian armsfactories, DRDO and the aerospace industry. It began productionofthe first generation anti-tank missile – the French SS11B1.

BDL has three manufacturing facilitiesin Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad; BhanurDistrict, Medak and Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Two new units are planned in Ibrahimpatnam, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana and Amravati, Maharashtra.
