The Jharkhand Personnel Selection Commission (J.S.S.C.) was established pursuant to the Jharkhand Personnel Selection Commission Act 2008 (Jharkhand Act 16, 2008) as published in Gazette No.829 days December 6, 2008 Government of Jharkhand. The law was amended by Jharkhand Act 03.2011 and Jharkhand Act 19.2011; published under the newsletter no. 153 m² February 24, 2011 and 687 German11 October 2011 or Originally the office of the Jharkhand Recruitment Board was located in Dhurwa, Ranchi until 08/01/2016.

Since the accommodation did not meet the actual needs of the commission, its office was moved to Kalinagar, Chaay Bagan, Namkum, Ranchi, Jharkhand – 834010. The foundation stone for this was laid by the then Prime Minister Shri Hemant Soren and later inaugurated on February 8th, 2016 by the honorable Prime Minister Shri Raghuvar Das.
