The Rajkot Municipal Corporation is responsible for the social infrastructure and administration of the city of Rajkot in the Indian state of Gujarat. The organization is called RMC for short. It was founded in 1973. This municipal body manages an area of ​​10 .86 km2. The RMC is headed by the Mayor of Rajkot.[3] The administrative structure of the RMC consists of political and administrative wings.

The political wing is an elected council led by a mayor. The IAS municipal councilor heads the administrative wing and is responsible for the strategic and operational planning and management of the company. The authorized representative makes decisions on behalf of the board or the permanent committee formed by the authorized representatives elected to carry out the tasks of the association.

The Rajkot Municipal Corporation has set up civic centers in different parts of the city to get the maximum benefit of technology and make the day-to-day management transparent. RMC has five civic centers in different areas of Rajkot Municipality for the benefit of Rajkot residents. Now every citizen can use the services of the city company within a radius of 3 kilometers from their place of residence.

All city centers are interconnected by a network. The center offers services such as: real estate tax calculation and collection, water fee calculation and collection, new water connection, complaints, commercial and incorporated matters, birth and death certificates, building permits and various tax collections.
